Time is flying...

We can't believe our little angel is already in her 6 month - again, we're learning when everyone says "enjoy every moment, because it goes so fast" - even at only 5 1/2 months, we understand what that means! It's incredible to watch Cecilia as she grows - everything is so mysterious and interesting - it seems as though NOTHING tops her own hands - those seem to still be her favorite toys! One of the most wonderful things she's been doing over the last several weeks is when we get real close (face to face) she reaches her little hands out while smiling and touches our face - talk about melting your heart! Her smile lights up every day - we literally get excited every time she wakes up because we get to see her sweet face again. Since last post - we shared a wonderful Christmas together with the Truesdell side - all the Grandkids and Great-Grandkids were together at my parent's house - here is a great picture of all 6 cousins/grandkids/great-grandkids in matching jammies =) We also had a great Christmas and 33rd birthday shared with the Wilson Grandparents. Cecilia - of course - was spoiled by everyone! We had a nice NYE - we took Cecilia out to (early bird special) dinner for the first time and she was very good! We were all in bed a couple hours before midnight though =) Here are a few more of our most recent favorite pictures including a couple from Cecilia's first official photo shoot =)

Cecilia's Baptism

Cecilia Clara was baptized on January 9, 2010 at Our Lady's Chapel at Gonzaga College High School in Washington D.C. by Father Novotny. Her Mommy and Daddy were married at Gonzaga's church - St. Aloysius - also by Father Novotny, lots of sentimental history. Our best friends, Rich and Britt Griffith are Cecilia's Godparents. They mean the world to us and little Reagan was also part of the special day. Cecilia's Grandparents on both sides, Mama Lockhart, Uncle Johnny, Aunt Jennifer and cousin Addison were also in attendance.

Cecilia wore the gown, bonnet and white garment her Daddy and Uncle Marc were baptized in, the shoes that her cousin Addison wore for her baptism, and a hand painted pin that her Mommy, Aunt Stephanie, Nana, Great-Grandmommy Truesdell and Great-Great-Grandmommy Truesdell wore on their wedding day - Cecilia will wear it again on her wedding day. Additionally, I carried the gold medal and chain that her Daddy wore on his baptism, a gold pin that reads "Dios Me Bendiga" (God Bless Me) that Mike's Great Aunt Hilda gave him and wore for his baptism, and a silver children's rosary that was given to her Mommy when she was a baby. Each piece truly has it's own history - above is just a brief background - most importantly, Cecilia was adorned and surrounded by several family heirlooms!

It was a beautiful day and Cecilia was "full of spirit" - here are a few images from the day.
