Back to fun topics - like CC and our soon-to-be little boy. Since we found out we're having a little boy - we've been busy selecting a theme for the nursery and colors - we wound up deciding on a beachy theme - deep blue paint, madras plaid bedding, and sailboats and fish among other touches to fill the room. Special sea shells that both families have collected over the years from all over and a beautiful painting/photograph my Dad saved for me from Hawaii of a palm tree among other special touches (we're blessed to have such a loving family) - it's all coming together so will post a photo when the room is complete.
I am scheduled for a c-section at 39 weeks on August 29th (my fabulous brother-in-law's birthday!) - so we're under 7 weeks away at this point. We went to the beach as much as possible since May so CC could soak up the fun, now we're VA-bound until the little one arrives. We joined a local pool so CC can keep up with her swimming adventures - she's been doing amazingly well with no lessons other than from her parents/grandparents - mainly her Daddy. She goes underwater (over and over and over again) all by herself, she can float for 20 seconds and she fearlessly jumps into her Daddy's arms from the side of the pool - she's even getting good at swimming - both with her legs and arms while we hold her. CC has been loving preschool full time and has made lots of new friends, in particular, Ava - she loves talking about Ava. When I pick her up from school they hug eachother so tightly - they are two peas in a pod, it's hysterical! I look at her and I can't believe how much time has flown by - I hold on tightly to moments now =) That's what's been going on for the most part over the last 8 weeks and here are some photos as well.
Photos are of CC/Ava; CC at Funland; CC/Patrick; Birthday parties; CC dancing solo at the Father's Day social at preschool; annual Dollie's photo; annual CC and her grandparents/great-grandmother photo (did I say we were blessed?!); and last but not least CC at her first dentist appt. yesterday! CC has all 20 baby teeth and was very brave at the dentist - had her teeth cleaned, flossed and flouride, even pictures taken. Her favorite part was "Mr. Thirsty" - oddly, the part that I dislike the most! She's growing up TOO fast! More to come!

She is growing up so quickly - I understand! Patrick asked if she could come to dinner tonight as we drove by! Love the friendship! And can't for the little man to arrive soon!!! CONGRATS!
